“I bought it in 1995,” explains Kenneth Smith, “And I know it’s a one-of-one because no other car has this factory paint, interior color, wheels, optional suspension package, spare tire delete, and manual transmission. What’s wrong with people? It was supposed to be my retirement.”

Smith, 66 years old and lifetime Ohio resident, bought his 1995 Corvette at a local dealership and drove it ten miles home, where it has resided in his garage since. Now divorced from his wife, finally tired of him telling her it was an investment, Smith has become bitter.

“It’s basically an American Ferrari,” Smith says. “But some guy offered me $8,000 for it then lowered it to $7,000 because he said it was on old tires. I told him it’s a one-of-one, but kids today don’t understand the value of classic American muscle. It must be all that avocado toast they eat.”
